Impact Analysis of National Skill Development Mission

Project Brief

Do a qualitative analysis of Impact created by any individual, group or body working towards fulfillment of any of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Note- This is a classroom project done by Swati Mishra & Gaurav Harsh under the guidance of Dr. Varsha Gupta

Sustainable development Goal- Quality Education

Reason for selecting this goal was that this goal had an impact on other goals in some way or other.

SDG- Quality Education

Out of all the global quality education goals, we selected goal 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5 for this project.

4.3 - By 2030, ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, including university

4.4 - By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship

4.5 - By 2030, eliminate gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples and children in vulnerable situations

In our secondary research we found that National Skill Development Mission is a huge Project working towards achieving Quality Education SDG.

National Skill Development Mission

NSDM’s Mission statement To rapidly scale up skill development efforts in India, by creating an end-to-end, outcome-focused implementation framework, which aligns demands of the employers for a well-trained skilled Workforce with aspirations of Indian citizens for sustainable livelihoods.

Aim of this research The aim of this research is to understand the emotional, economical and social impact of Skill India Mission on its beneficiaries

We did thorough research on the NSDM & found out problem areas.

Based on this, we developed Questionnaire, recruited people for interview & developed User Personas.

Analysis

After transcripting the interviews, we coded the insightful content and did affinity mapping.

The analysis of the research gave us important insights so as to draw the conclusion about the Social Impact, Economical Impact & Emotional Impact of NSDM on its beneficiaries
